Writing Tip #6 By The WWD
If you choose to write a book with another human, make good and sure you have a rock solid relationship allowing give and take because you are in for a wild ride.
Someone asked me to give them some writing tips. This sure got me thinking. Hmmm, . . I could go online and find some for them. I could peruse my many books on writing and share. Then I realized that I have a few things that have come to me through the school of hard knocks. So I dug deep and came up with these. I call myself the "WWD--Writer With Desire". I will post them throughout the year.
Good advice!
ReplyDeleteDo you even know how right you are? LOL I have been working with a good friend for a few years on a "real" book, and it's testing our friendship big time. I'm so called writer, she's the so called editor. We are making each other crazy...better I cannot tell at this point.
ReplyDeleteI agree! I am involved with three other writers doing a four novella series. Each of us is writing one of the books. We decided early on to have the books mention each others lead character, but not to coordinate our stories too much because it is too easy to overstep bounds. We each tell the story of our characters and are respectful of each others characters. I am glad we decided this early on. I think we would have scrubbed the whole thing by now if not, and we really are great friends!
