There was an hour yesterday evening when Blogger had a scheduled maintenance window. Perhaps that was when you tried. I only know that because I tried to post during that hour, got an error message, went to the status page, and found out it was "view-only" during that hour.

I had that same problem. Usually when Blogger goes on the fritz, I just type in word and than cut and paste later. It works for me.
